School photos and barely surviving exam week

We got our school photos last Friday! Exciting stuff :) I showed my mum and she took out all my old school photos from years gone by and I had fun comparing them haha

Hehe baby pic

Time to get a new fringe lol....

I think one day I will bring the pigtails back. Lol

Exam week started on Monday! What is it about exams that make you want to be dog? Seriously say you're stressing a lot whilst studying and then outside you spot your dog, sleeping or playing or eating and you just feel man I want o be a dog!! Haha maybe it's just me?

Carefree dawg

Paws look soft :3

English extension on Monday was okay, I wrote more than I expected and I had this panic attack where I realized I didn't even address the question in my intro so after rushing through my creative I went back and rewrote my intro.

Maths advanced was so loong. The only way to describe it. Three hours! My stomach started grumbling into the third hour. I was disappointed at my inability to get the last two multiple choice. Actually I got the last one but I circled p+q because I forgot that it was -(p+q) because the denominator was actually (q-p). Silly me :(

I realized I mutter to myself a lot in exams. Little pep talks. That reminds me of peptides. Which I studied this morning at 5am for chemistry.

Chemistry was a little disappointing. I feel like I should be doing well in it cos it-and Maths-are the only subjects I go to tutoring for and therefore I feel like if I'm not doing well I'm wasting my parent's money.

I think I will take a nap shortly. Too much lack of sleep. Woke up so early this morning that it was completely dark outside and I watched the sun rise as I did titration problems.

Exam Playlist

Short post today: I love the band Garage Hymnal and studying to them is super inspirational because you remember PURPOSE in life and who we are glorifying through our studies :)

Garage Hymnal Hand Stamp for one of their concerts (not my hand or pic)

One of the things most memorable about hearing them live last year was that the lyrics were up on screens all around the massive hall and everybody sang along with our hands above us in praise to our Lord :) Very inspirational :) And you could just smile at someone across the room and they'd smile back brightly whilst singing. God is Great!

Thought I'd share some of their songs through their myspace:

http://www.myspace.com/garagehymnal/music/songs/

One of my favourites is no. 5 'Beneath the Cross' :)

Post-Exam Plans

Today we had a year assembly and wow I kinda had a sudden re-realisation that exams are so important and taken so seriously. I mean I already knew they were important before and I do take them seriously but we got so many rules and regulations and that form you have to fill out about your plans for uni etc and it was just like a re-jolt to me of how importantly our school considers exams.

Whilst I was listening I was thinking exams are just writing on paper, but we would be so devastated say if we lost one of those sheets. But it's just ink in certain shapes on a piece of heavily processed tree. Okay now I'm rambling but although exams are important, we must not forget GOD and the ultimate purpose in life :) Having said that, of course I will still put maximum effort into studies.

Here are some things I'm looking forward to after exams:
1.
Going to San Churros with da gurl frans lol

2.
Going to the airport on the the 5th of March to pick up my cousin, her husband and her son who are visiting Australia for a week!!! Super excited!! We're going to have so much fun hehe we're going to take them to the Easter Show, and the Harbour Bridge, and the Opera House, and zoos and the beach and down to Kiama and they'e going to live in our house too :) We're hoping to get our pool super clean so they can swim lol. Hehe I'm looking forward to fun times and eating out every night :3

3.

EASTER! An AWESOME time of the year to REMEMBER just how much Jesus did for us :3 My mum always buys me a bunny on Easter as well (as in the chocolate kind, not the animal. Although I've always wanted a bunny for a pet haha)

EXCITING TIMES AHEAD GUYS! I'm sure we all have our own wonderful plans for celebration after exams :) Let's try to work hard! I'm going to get off the computer now lol and take out all my math books :)

Thrifting Adventures in my mum's closet :)

Hey everyone!

Today I was on the bus home from the library and I was considering whether or not to buy this cool jumper I saw today at towers, and I thought I would go home and scrounge around my mum's closet to see if she had any cool over-size jumeprs first :)

Whilst I didn't find any jumpers, I found some awesome genuine vintage stuff my mum said I could have hehe :) I was trying them on and I showed her and asked her if I could have them and she was like "Wow those are from so long ago...Of course you can have them." :) Haha I think she was more surprised that I would be interested in such 'old' clothes

This is what I found:
This strange floaty two piece dress that's short in the front and longer in the bottom and it's sheer at the bottom too so you're supposed to wear them with these...

These white tap shorts kinda-thing. HAHA it's such a unique combination of clothes :3

I also found:

This deep red white-polka-dot ruffle blouse :) I can envision wearing it with high-waisted shorts :3

That's all I discovered for now, but I'll probably go back some other time and scrounge out some other goodies hehe :) My mum has such nice clothes hehe nicer than any of my clothes actually...

P.S. Well done to the brave brave people who shaved their head today for Shave for a Cure: CL, MK, TK, CZ :) :) AMAZING!~

Biscuit not pregnant and dem approaching 1/2 yearlies

Hey guys! I haven't blogged for a while :)

My cousin, who is a budding veterinarian, came over to inpsect Biscuit and turns out she's not pregnant!

Sorry to all those people who were excited and wanted puppies :(

I'm only a baby myself so I'm probably not ready for puppies-Biscuit says :)

She's actually not THAT young (about 1 year and 3 months) but she's like my baby hehe :D

Also turns out my English Extension teacher is leaving us! D: How can we cope??

On a completely unrelated note doesn't he (Mr. McD) look like the guy in the top left of this poster? It's Lenin btw :) Modern history is the best!

Today we were watching a documentary about Stalin and his myths and then the video started talking about how Stalin was very aware about his double chins and would always make sure to lift his head up and to the left so you couldn't see the chins on camera LOL and whenever he forgot and you could see his chins he forced all that footage to be deleted (Stalin is bottom right btw).

In the USSR or the United Senior Study Room, there is a pic on the board of Leon Trotsky saying 'SHOULDN'T YOU BE STUDYING?'

Great motivation for the half-yearlies hehe :)

I actually quite like the exam period. You can leave right after you finish your exam and catch transport to some library and study for the next one and after it's all over you feel so relieved and happy :) Minus the stress part and the everything-counts-cos-it's-year-12 exam weeks are pretty fun :D

ROFL also I was going to run the cross country after hearing that JP was going to, but then the other day I took my dog walking:

Walking tiemz

And it had been like 10 minutes of jogging and I was exhausted HAHA and I was like to biscuit Slow Down!!! So yup still deciding whether or not to do cross country...seeing as I'm extremely unfit lol. And since I go to the library a lot and always eat some type of fast food (mostly McDonalds...I mean now they have the new Loose Change menu haha I'm more liable to be even more unhealthy...is that even possible, I'm the most unhealthy person I know lol) coupled with lack of exercise = complete inability to run/walk 3km haha

Happy birthday Jashan and parties at libraries

Happy birthday JB, may I take this opportunity to say your house is beautiful and your room is very bright and pink. I've always wanted to be those people with the extremely personalized rooms, you know the ones with photos everywhere and posters and signs that say Michelle's Room etc Lol but I would feel sad taking it all down if I moved out I think. Also it's a lot of effort LOL

JB's curtains are so lovely

BUT since I go my Polaroid I'm going to pin up all the pictures I take and I think that would add some personal character :)

Space cleared out for dancing with ncie gold streamers

Ooh here is my present to her, I feel quite proud of the wrapping hehe cos I think it looks quite cute :3

I decided to stick a little bow in the front for some random reason :) The food was amazing But I forgot to take any photos of it :( There were literally bowls of every kind of yummy stuff imaginable to snack on :) And a chocolate fountain too!

LOL on the way to her house in SS's car we saw JJ walking and looking very lost so I quickly texted him like ARE YOU LOST? do you need a ride?? haha but luckily he wasn't :P

I used my new GHD to curl my hair and seriously IT'S AMAZING usually it takes me about 40minutes with a curling iron but ghd only took me maybe 20 minutes? :)

It's a magical device

And I was looking for stuff to wear and I found this random blue floaty top I forgot even existed in my closet (I've never actually worn it) so I decided to wear it haha

Don't you love it when you're looking through your closet and you find random cool stuff you forgot you had? The top has really nice lacy details but you can't really see it in the pic :) And I wore the blue wedges my sis bought the other day with it so it was kinda matchy haha

Me and NS :) Blue wedges yay! LOL I don't have a full length mirror at home and I was so excited when Im saw JB's I decided to take a photo lulz. I am seriously so jelly of people that have full length mirrors. I used to have one in my room but I broke it, on my birthday too, about 3 years ago. Some people consider that bad luck but I don't believe in superstition that so I'm all safe :)

ANYWAY WOO HAPPY BIRTHDAY

There was also a huge gathering (party) in Castle Hill Library today. I guess that's what Baulko kids do, you know, casually spending our whole Saturdays at the library LOL.We're in Year 12, what life?? :P

But there were so many people today: KT, MP, RC, RH, GZ, CL, DM, BA and me :O We didn't even plan it, it was just a lot of people coming to the library on the same day. Well I guess in a way it's not so much a coincidence, but more of a response to the half yearlies coming up soon :(

Anyway, off to dinner! Sorry for the unusually long absence of blog posts :3 I blame English Advanced.

Love: Michelle

Edit: I am so glad a certain wonderful inidividual is all recovered now, HAPPY DAY, what fantastic news hehe :) YAY she's so strong and such a survivor

Sickness and Biscuit Pregnant???

Hey everyone :) Been feeling very sub-standard again this weekend, so I've spent yet another day at home.

I've been getting quite sick a lot this term (usually I'm not as absent-today is my third day off school this term). I think it's a combination of the stress and the strange weather. I'm very, very susceptible to weather changes eg whenever it's hot I feel very faint and get nosebleeds and when the weather changes abruptly (like yesterday-raining to today-hot) I come down with sickness quite easily :(

My cold last Thursday developed into a fever yesterday and I practically spent 12+ hours sleeping.

It doesn't help that the pills I've been taking also induce sleepiness :( Had to take a nap after having them yesterday (I feel asleep in the middle of reading abotu Leon Trotsky's great achievements)

Not only does being sick feel horrible and make you miss out on valuable class time (I'm betting I'll be SO lost in math and chem when I get back to school....inverse trig kills me...) but I also have an absolute inability to swallow pills. So I fill a spoon with boiling water and dissolve the pill and drink it (it tastes horrible).

And instead of reading about relaxing things whilst in bed this past 3 days, I've been reading up on the Red Terror during the Russian Civil War, the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and the Nanking Massacre. Intellectually stimulating, but not the nicest things to read about....especially when there are primary source photographs show with the graphic description. It's so horrible to think about the depths of cruelty that war can bring out in people.

On another note, Biscuit might be pregnant!!!!

Here's a picture of Biscuit just cos.

Isn't it ironic that we got a new fence for the sole sake of the dogs from both next doors not being able to sneak over to our backyard, yet the new fence allowed a much greater chance of this occuring? So much so, in fact, that Biscuit might even be preggers :O

We're going to find out for sure soon (as in whether or not she's pregnant) but she shows all the signs-enlarged tummy, reduced acitivity, sleeping on her pet bed all the time....maybe she just got lazy? LOL

SRC dinner and moar curly fries

Yesterday night was the last SRC dinner (at the Thai House North Parramatta) I could ever have had the opportunity to go to :3 Feels so sentimental. Me, MP and NA affectionally refer to ourselves as 'original 3' becausw we were the original 3 SRCs in year 8 and we stayed togetherzz throughout the years until we graduated from that safe haven of the C6 and Miss K and now we're in B11 hanging with Mr U.

I took my Polaroid along and snapped up my 3rd picture of me, VS, OL and Miss K to officially farewell me and VS's reign as SRC Presidents. Ah the timez we have shared.

Oh SRC how I will miss you. You were my everything in high school for 4 years and I put so much effort and pride into you :)

We also all got such wondetrful farewell presents and cards from everyone in the SRC. How sweet :')

(I LOVE THE CAT HAHAHA)

I love you guys, for everyone who was the 'old' SRC I've literally grown up with you and for all the 'new' ones I can't think of any people more deserving (and for the juniors, I can't think of people more cute! hehe)

I remember the first dinner I went to when I was a wee lass and we all clapped as we farewelled the old Presidents and I remember I was in awe of them, thinking about how inspirational and amazing they were. I would have NEVER imagined it would be me that would be farewelled one day.

This sounds like a thank you speech.....basically I can't believe I'm so blessed with such great opportunities in life :)

I got this AWESOME clutch as a goodbye pressie :) I LOVE IT !

Had an awesome time last night with awesome company, haha sorry for OW for putting up with all the nicknames I make for you (OKPCW^2, Big O etc) and OM for your stories about being in Peru for 2 months! Thank you to VS for being the best co president anybody could ever wish for <3

Wow. As I'm writing this I can't believe I'm so old. I still remember when I was in Year 8, all young and shy..

Today I went to library after chem tutor and SS, CL and I got to have a catch up sesh over curly fries and bagels! Yummy yummy :) Dat curly fries obsession is still not cured....

Love: Michelle

P.S. Today my sis bought me a pressie!!

BT sometimes has these for recess and they are the most delicious things ever.

P.P.S. We had this awesomely nice waiter who looks like Joseph Vincent yesterday serving us at the Thai place and he told us he was in Year 12 too in Castle Hill High!!! How exciting! Wish I'd gotten his name then we could be buds and all hehe :) He called HH 'mate' when we were leaving :D

Everyone around is concentrating on their Frankenstein and Blade Runner comparative essay

Franky (best book ever)

Blades

SRC dinner tomorrow night!! I was hoping to wear the new blue wedges my sis bought but itf it's raining maybe not

I'm going to bring my Polaroid and take one last pic of me and VS with Miss K for the last day we can say we are SRC Presidents :)
